Questions and answers

Account and sign-in

How do I start?

Open the app, tick the box to agree to the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy, then choose Sign up, Login, Google, Facebook or Play as guest. The game needs the internet: Wi-Fi or mobile data.

What's the difference between a guest and an account?

A guest plays on one phone only, with 250 coins of each game to start. If you uninstall the app before signing up, a guest's coins, cards and friends are lost. Sign up from Settings → Account → Sign up (with email, Google or Facebook) and you keep everything, plus 250 more coins of each game.

I signed in with Google or Facebook. Why does it ask for my name and birthday?

Google and Facebook don't share these with us. We ask once for a player name, your date of birth (you must be 13 or older), your country and your city. Your city is never shown to other players.

How do I sign in on a new phone?

Use the same way you signed up: Login with your email or User ID and password, or the same Google or Facebook account. Your coins, cards and friends are on our server, so they follow your account.

Can I change my player name?

Yes, on your Profile, once every 30 days. Names are 3 to 16 letters, numbers or _, must be unique, and mustn't be rude.

Coins, fees and prizes

What are coins?

Vyralune and Cardvanta each have their own coins. You use them for match entry fees. Coins live on our server, have no cash value, and can't be withdrawn, sold or sent to other players.

How do I get more coins?

Win matches, claim the daily coins and the Coin reward, finish daily missions, watch optional rewarded videos, or buy a coin pack. You can also move Cardvanta coins to Vyralune (up to 500 a day), or Vyralune coins to Cardvanta.

How do entry fees and prizes work?

Every match against another player has an entry fee, from 150 coins. The coins are held when you tap a fee and come back if you cancel before a match is found. The winner gets both fees minus a small platform charge:

Entry feePlatform chargeExample
Below 1,00010%Fee 150: the winner gets 270
1,000 to below 3,00015%Fee 1,000: the winner gets 1,700
3,000 to below 5,00018%Fee 3,000: the winner gets 4,920
5,000 to below 7,50021%Fee 5,000: the winner gets 7,900
7,500 to 10,00024%Fee 10,000: the winner gets 15,200

A tie gives both players their fee back. Leaving a match, or tapping End game, loses it and the fee.

My coins didn't come back after a match didn't start.

If nobody joins within 2 minutes of "Matched!", both players get their coins back automatically. If a player doesn't join within a minute, the one who came wins the prize. If something still looks wrong, write to us with your User ID and the time, and we'll check our records.

Matches

How long is a match?

Up to 20 minutes, with as many rounds as fit. Lose all your cards and you lose at once; when time runs out, the player with more cards left wins.

What happens if my internet drops?

The match waits for you: you have 1 minute 45 seconds to come back. After that the match ends and the other player wins.

How do power skills work?

Each round you may use one power skill; each use spends one skill card, and a match allows up to 18 uses. In the game, tap a skill to read what it does. Reveal is special: it shows you the other player's card, and then you can change your card or add a skill.

Who you play against

Do I always play against real people?

Not always. When no other player is found within about a minute, our server starts the match against a computer opponent so you never wait long. Computer opponents play by exactly the same rules, with the same kinds of cards and skills, and are set up to give an even game at every entry fee. They have player-style names and profiles, and the match doesn't show that the opponent is a computer. Entry fees and prizes work the same way as against people.

Friend challenges and room matches are always against the real person you invited.

Ads and rewards

When do ads show?

Banners on menu pages, one ad before and one after each match, and optional rewarded videos you choose to watch for coins or skill cards. Never during a battle.

I watched a rewarded video but got nothing.

A reward is given when the ad service tells our server the video was finished. If you closed it early, there's no reward. If you finished it and still got nothing, write to us with your User ID and the time.

Friends, rooms and safety

How do I play with a friend?

Find them by User ID and send a friend request, then use Challenge when they're online. Or open a Room and share its 6-digit code; the room lasts 10 minutes.

Someone is rude or cheating. What can I do?

Open their profile and choose Block or Report. Blocked players can't send you requests, challenges or messages. We review reports.

Buying and refunds

What can I buy?

Coin packs, skill cards and decks, paid through Google Play (and the App Store on iPhone). Bought decks follow the same balance rules as the free ones, so buying never makes a card stronger.

How do I get a refund?

Purchases are made through Google Play or the App Store, so refunds follow their rules: request one from Google Play's order history or Apple's "Report a problem". See also the Terms of Service.

Your data and deleting your account

What do you keep about me?

Only what the game needs: your account details, your game progress and coins, and a few technical records. The Privacy Policy lists everything.

How do I delete my account?

In the app: Settings → Delete account. Your account closes at once and is deleted after 30 days; sign in before then and tap Keep my account if you change your mind. More on Delete your account, including how to ask by email.
